Internet Child Pornography

Topics Covered:

  • Students are introduced to the characteristics of the four types of men who sexually assault children and target them on the internet. Instructor will sign onto the internet and attempt to talk to these offenders during classroom instruction. There are two types of offenders that target children on the internet and hopefully students will be able to observe how they interact. Students will also be introduced to classic behavioral indicators these offenders display in their communication with adults and children and how they interact within society.

 Dwayne Wright is a retired investigator with the Houston Police Department. He is also recognized as a high-performance trainer who responds to the needs of criminal justice professionals by providing information on issues such as detecting deception in interviews and profiling criminal behavior. Using his broad knowledge base in offender behavior, Dwayne will enhance the skills of officers dedicated to public service.

Cancellation Policy:
If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas no later than ten (10) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted. If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant/agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
