We’re fortunate to have Kelly Smith, a corporate trainer and very sought-after speaker, start off the program with a high-energy presentation on strategies for improving communication skills. Always a dynamic speaker and a leader in her field, Executive Director of the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission Vicki Spriggs never fails to leave participants inspired and motivated to live their best life. Another popular speaker and role model in the field of criminal justice is Dr. Rita Watkins, the Executive Director of the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas. Her training and research have focused on cultural diversity issues, leadership development, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and investigative techniques. Cancellation Policy:
If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas no later than ten (10) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted. If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant/agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
