The Women in Criminal Justice conference will feature the following speakers:

Senator Leticia Van de Putte will be keynoting the conference.

Nancy Baird: President of Training Strategies, Inc., Nancy Began her career as a Harris County Juvenile Probation Officer in Houston, Texas. Nancy is a dynamic facilitator and has more than 20 years experience conducting trainig to more than 200 companies, associations, and agencies.

Greg Moore: He is the creator and CEO of DebtIntoWealth, a wealth-building education company, which educates his clients o­n the methods and benefits of living a debt-free life. Greg is a certified financial independence seminar leader and has conducted Debt-Freedom workshops since 1996.

Vicki Spriggs: A highly regarded dynamic speaker, Vicki Spriggs is currently the Executive Director of the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission. She has worked in various aspects of the juvenile justice system throughout her long and is a distinguished leader in the field.

Charlotte Stallings: As a former Vice President of Investment Strategies and a Spokesperson for American Express, Charlotte is passionate about teaching individuals how to shape thier futures. With wit and humor, she generates warmth and inspires any audience effective action.

Leadership panelist will include Raven Kazen (Director of TDCJ Victim Services Division); Bonita White (Director of the Community Justice Assistance Division): Vicki Spriggs (Executive Director of the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission); Dr. Janet Mullings (Associate Dean and Professor at Sam Houston State University; and Dr. Gaylene Armstrong (Professor at Sam Houston State University and Research Director for the Correctional Management Institute of Texas).

Power Segments will include Defensive Tactics, Dressing for Success; The Healing Power of Chocolate; and Skin Care/Make-up techniques.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2008, we will live music for entertainment and o­n Thursday, May 1, 2008, the Omni will provide free shuttle service to the Riverwalk and Howl at the Moon is providing free passes for attendees.

Cancellation Policy:
If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Correctional Management Institute of Texas no later than ten (10) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted. If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant/agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
