• Intelligence Fusion and Analysis: When law enforcement agencies have an effective and efficient way to exchange information and intelligence, they improve their ability to fight crime including terrorism. ComNET explores the FBI’s Intelligence Directorate, Intelligence Fusion Centers, and Lessons Learned Information Sharing and how they make a difference in piecing together the intelligence puzzle. • Improvised Explosive Devices: Suicide bombs, car bombs, and package bombs are all types of improvised explosive devices. ComNET explains some of the characteristics of IEDs and motivations behind those who use them. • Detection of Bio-Threat Agents: There are many tools and resources available for emergency responders to detect bio-threat agents. ComNET attends the Second National Conference on Environmental Sampling and Detection of Threat Agents and talks to leading experts on bio-threat detection. • WMD Radiological Nuclear Course for Hazardous Materials Technicians: Knowing how to work in a high radiation area and rescue contaminated victims during realistic drills are some of the highlights of this four-day Office of Grants and Training sponsored course. ComNET visits the Nevada Test Site and finds out how HazMat technicians gain important hands-on experience.

Cancellation Policy:
If paid, full refunds will be given to those who cancel in writing more than ten (10) working days prior to the training. A refund of 70% of the fees paid will be authorized when a written request for cancellation and refund of conference or program fees is submitted less than ten (10) working days prior to the scheduled start of the program. If unpaid, those who cancel in writing more than ten (10) working days prior to the training will have all fees waived. When a written request for cancellation is submitted less than ten (10) working days prior to the scheduled start of the program, the participant will be responsible for 30% of the conference rate at the time they registered. The Correctional Management Institute of Texas reserves the right to retain or collect fees in full for those who fail to cancel in writing prior to the training or for those who fail to attend. Substitutions are permitted at anytime.
