Nashville’s newest state of the art city jail facility will house approximately 816 offenders. Approximately sixty beds, 30 for females and 30 for males, will be dedicated to the Behavioral Care Center (BCC). BCC is an adult supportive residential facility which will provide gender responsive behavioral care services to residents in a short-term residential setting. This section of the facility is designed to be less of a correctional setting and more of a residential treatment setting, including things such as regular wall and doors rather than cells. The new $113 million Complex is scheduled to open in March 2020.
